Summary: Defendant lost control of his vehicle and hit Plaintiff’s car head-on. Plaintiff sustained a compound fracture/dislocation of her right ankle including three tibia/fibula fractures and several torn ligaments, requiring three surgeries including insertion of a plate and screws. She suffers from a limp, no dorsiflexion of the ankle, and other permanent problems. Plaintiff was a two time U.S. National weightlifting champion who had been projected to be a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team.
